Burberry Prorsum Resort Collection 2012

Christopher Bailey is the man behind the 2012 resort collection. I had to put each and every photo, 32 pictures to be exact. This collection is AMAZING. I know there is a lot of African- Inspired things in fashion now, but this collection took to another level and blew me away. Of course the typical Burberry Trench is in the collection, what the luxury fashion house is known for, but it took a bold new direction. It's clear where the ROOTS came from in this collection. Stitch work was a main element in this collection. I can't get enough of the wooden beaded shoulders and shoes. Bailey said in an interview that, "This collection started with our iconic heritage as the foundation. We really wanted to emphasize this feeling of artisanal and decorative pieces that had been touched by hand, celebrating craftsmanship but always with this playful element". It played with mainly these colours of beige, yellow, malachite + emerald (green), and azure (blue). A definite surprise from Burberry, but none the less another BANGER from Bailey!
